Hey again!
I thought I'd use this as an opportunity to tell you a bit about me and why I create what I create.
As I stated on my home page, I am a Cornish illustrator and designer. I was born and raised in Cornwall, which I do feel has influenced how I create. This is an extremely creative county, surrounded by art and beautiful landscapes. I often find myself inspired by those around me and the world I see. I live in a tiny village surrounded by fields, so I do end up drawing a lot of natural illustrations with cute animal characters. I am just super inspired by my surroundings. I am so incredibly lucky to live here, it is just the perfect place for creativity.
I love where I live so much that I didn't even leave for university. I had the opportunity to go elsewhere, however, Falmouth felt like home to me. That university just felt like the perfect place to pursue what I love. I have achieved a BA Hons in illustration and I am now studying MA Graphic Design, also at Falmouth.
Now onto my work. I love storytelling and literature. I tend to direct most of my work towards this sector. I am a bit of a bookworm, so I naturally gravitate to publishing work. However, I am always interested in learning and discovering other areas of design, photography and illustration. I am more than happy to adapt my style to work in different areas. If I'm honest, I am happy with any creative work. I just love drawing and creating so much, I don't mind what projects I work on. I just want to leave my mark and make an impact on our complicated society.
If you have read this far, thank you. I am super grateful for your time!
